MY MISSION IS TO CREATE BEAUTIFUL, TIMELESS SPACES

Living in New York City for over 15 years has let me spend time in a lot of beautiful places. From Prospect Park and Fort Tilden to Grand Central and the Kitchen (formerly the Four Seasons), this city has endless inspiration on a grand scale. But it’s the small places and delights that truly inspire me. Tenacious plants growing through cracks in the sidewalk to bloom against all odds; a cleverly designed bathroom that fits in a space that for most would constitute a broom closet, my own humble rooftop in Brooklyn that offers a panoramic city view… there is beauty in using what you have to make the most of what the world has to offer. That is the philosophy I bring to every project I work on. Taking into account the space, it’s situation in the larger landscape, and my clients taste and lifestyles, I seek to create functional and beautiful spaces that will last a lifetime.

INSPIRED BY THE CITY

ANY SPACE, ANY BUDGET

Whether it’s optimizing a tiny backyard in Brooklyn or a full gut renovation in coastal Gloucester, I work to optimize the use of space and connect it to my clients aesthetics and their surroundings. Careful analysis of each space is an obsession of mine; everywhere I go I am always looking at what works and what could be better. Understanding where the light is coming from, what the utility of the space is is a start, but what’s in the fridge, where the client grew up, what the history of the building is can all come into play.

Small social urban Garden

In a small shared backyard in Brooklyn, I was tasked with cleaning up the space visually and creating a productive chef’s garden, including herbs & vegetables and a chill hangout space both day and night.

MID-CENTURY SPLIT LEVEL MAKEOVER

With a modest budget on their first home, I assisted with color selection, layout and furniture selection. Removing built-ins and repainting the ceiling made a big difference to bring the home into the modern age.

Bohemian pied-à-terre

This charming first floor apartment needed a major refresh with a limited budget. Reducing clutter and an overhaul in paint colors transformed the space to be open, warm and comfortable.

Coastal Family Getaway

When newly engaged empty-nesters found a well-situated home with spectacular views minutes from a peaceful cove in Gloucester, they fell in love, but the 30+ year old aesthetic needed a significant amount of work to bring it into the modern age and suit the couples needs. From an unfinished basement with wood paneling and drop ceilings with a distinct smell of mold and a staircase that wasn’t up to code, up to the top floor master that felt closed in despite the incredible vista, it took a lot to transform the space into an airy, open and showcase worthy space for entertaining in all seasons.
